Emma grew up in Calgary, Alberta, Canada. She fell in love with dance and performing while training at North Calgary Dance Centre. In their competitive program, she worked with brilliant guest choreographers such as Sarah Dolan and Katie Baines. She has extensive training in contemporary, jazz, tap, street jazz and ballet.

In August 2021, she moved to New York City to train in Broadway Dance Center's Professional Semester program. Throughout the program she worked with incredible choreographers such as Shannon Lewis, Josh Assor, Gwen Potter, and Hector Lopez. She was invited to perform in (sun)BURST at Broadway Dance Center, a celebratory performance to benefit Memorial Sloan Kettering Cancer Center directed by Julia Kane. Additionally, she had the opportunity to dance in new works by Shannon Lewis and Josh Assor at The Mark Morris Dance Center in Brooklyn, NY. She has performed as a featured dancer in pieces selected for the NextGen Dance Film Festival and Skylines Dance & Film Festival.

Most recently Emma was selected as a soloist to perform her own choreography at Calgary festival; Arts Xpeditions.
